Mission and Objectives:

The mission of the Union of the peoples for peace is to engage social, cultural and inter-religious dialogue in order to promote peace throughout the world. We believe that intercultural exchanges and dialogue between youngsters of different religion, culture and natioanlity will ease tensions. By this means, we fight against xenophobia, racism, antisemitism and any form of extremism.

Main Projects / Activities:

The organization is about bringing together youngsters from different horizons in order to promote cultural exchanges by organizing concerts, exhibitions, demonstrations..

Aware of the fact that the spread of misconceptions about the State of Israel led to a rise of antisemitism, we organised a tour of Israel. 17 immams have been given the opportunity to come to Israel, pray to Al Aqsa and see how diverse the Israeli society was in November 2012. In January 2014, 40 youngsters had the opportunity to live this experience and became strongholds against the extremism in France.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?:

Mister Hassen Chalghoumi, as the Immam of the Drancy municipality mosque in Seine Saint Denis, is a religious and community leader.  He stood up for a moderate Islam, inter-religious dialogue and against antisemitic acts in France. He has acquired a national and international reputation which allows him to bring together religious leaders from France and around the  world to work together towards social, cultural and inter-religious dialogue.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?:

We want to develop our actions in France and abroad and we believe that the ALF Network will bring us the support and bilitiy to establish a network with other organisations.
